Customer stories
Here are comments from some of our customers from across the country.
School teachers Francesca and Mike will be spending their first Valentine’s Day in their new home after moving in before Christmas.
The first time buyers bought their home off-plan, but it was love at first sight the moment they walked into a Countryside showhome.
Francesca said: “When we walked into the showhomes it instantly made us feel confident with our decision to purchase the home. Our favourite part of the house has to be the open feature of the skylights and the lighting throughout the home.
“We trusted our instinct and it paid off.”
The icing on the cake for Francesca and Mike was discovering their next door neighbours were also buying a house on the same development!
The couple had already registered their interest in the development and reserved their new home as soon as properties hit the market, and when their neighbours Will and Sarah heard the news, they snapped up a plot on the same site!
For finance analyst, Julie, the decision to move to Meridian One wasn’t just about finding a new home – it was about becoming part of a growing community. Having lived just across the A406 in Chingford, Julie had seen the evolving signs of change in this corner of Enfield, and when the opportunity arose to buy at Meridian One, she acted quickly.
“I moved into the area 11 years ago and always knew regeneration was coming. When I saw this particular block being built, I thought – that’s going to be beautiful in a few years. I wanted to get in early and be part of something new.”
Now living in a ninth-floor studio apartment, Julie’s enjoying a fresh start in a development that’s already beginning to reshape the area. Meridian One is the first phase of Meridian Water – Enfield Council’s flagship regeneration project - which will deliver 10,000 new homes and 6,000 jobs. With a focus on sustainability, community and connectivity, the wider neighbourhood is designed to bring together waterside living, nature, and opportunity – all just a short train ride from central London.
“I was drawn to Meridian One by the pace of regeneration and the studio’s design – it feels light and cosy, and the amount of storage was a lovely surprise. The team were so helpful and transparent, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. It’s lovely to be part of something that’s still evolving – I’d definitely recommend living here (and so would my dog).”
“It’s exciting to be part of a community that’s continuing to take shape and I’m really looking forward to being part of its growth.”
Simon and Adam have described their Countryside development as the perfect place to start a family.
“We have just started the process of adoption, so finding a neighbourhood with a strong sense of community was really important to us. Since we moved in, we’ve received cards from neighbours welcoming us to the development and inviting us over, which is lovely!
“We fell in love with the features of the house, especially the open plan layout of the ground floor. We love to host so we can’t wait for our friends and family to visit, the kitchen is the perfect space to get everyone together."
Moving home is always a big change, but for Caroline it was life changing. After serving with the Royal Military Police and sustaining severe injuries in the line of duty, Caroline faced lasting physical challenges and an emotional impact that followed. When a difficult family situation meant she needed a fresh start, she found a Linden home at The Oaks in Chudleigh.
From the moment Caroline visited the development, she knew it could be home. The property needed a few adaptations, but it ticked all the boxes. What she expected to be a stressful move turned out to be smooth, thanks to the support from the Vistry team. The site managers and wider team were helpful and professional, resolving any issues quickly and making her process seamless.
“Moving home can be a challenge for anyone, but for those of us living with physical and mental health difficulties, it can be even more daunting. That’s why it meant so much to be treated with understanding, patience, and respect throughout the process. It’s also reassuring to know that Vistry has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating its commitment to supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families. And I would especially recommend them to anyone within the Armed Forces community, knowing the care, support, and respect they show to veterans and their families.”
Caroline couldn’t be happier in her new home. The house feels safe, the location is beautiful, and the move has given her a fresh start.
