Planning permission granted for 170 new homes in Banbury, including 111 affordable homes

Vistry, one of the UK’s leading providers of mixed-tenure homes, has joined forces with SettleParadigm to deliver 170 new homes on land east of Warwick Road, on the northern edge of Banbury, after securing full planning permission for the development.

Of the 170 homes approved, 111 will be affordable homes, providing new opportunities for individuals and families looking to put down roots locally. The affordable provision will include a mix of affordable rent, social rent and shared ownership.

The development will deliver a mix of one- to four-bedroom homes, with more than half of the site retained as green open space. This will include woodland, wildflower meadows and informal sport and play areas, supporting biodiversity and wellbeing.

Supriya Ray, Managing Director at Vistry Homes, Cotswolds, said: “By working in partnership with SettleParadigm this site will deliver a significant number of quality new affordable homes, giving local people genuine opportunities to own or rent an affordable home in an environmentally sustainable new setting.”

Martyn Jones, Executive Director, Development & Regeneration at SettleParadigm said: “We're really looking forward to the time when we can share this development with new residents as part of our future as a new housing association. The commitment to green space is amazing, and we’re sure that anyone moving in will be able to make a great home and life here.”
