Vistry completes final handover of affordable homes at Hounsome Fields to SNG
Vistry, the UK's leading provider of mixed-tenure homes, has completed the handover of the final 84 affordable homes in Phase B1B at its Hounsome Fields development in Basingstoke to SNG (Sovereign Network Group) bringing the total number of homes delivered to SNG within the phase to 95.
The completion marks a significant milestone for the development, where the first 11 homes in Phase B1B were handed over in 2025 as part of a programme that has seen Vistry work closely with affordable housing partners to deliver homes for local people.
Located off Winchester Road on the southern edge of Basingstoke, Hounsome Fields is a major mixed-tenure development where Vistry is delivering around 750 homes across seven phases. The development has brought together open market and affordable housing alongside investment in community infrastructure, education and public amenities, creating a sustainable new neighbourhood for residents.
The homes comprise a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments together with two, three and four-bedroom houses, available through affordable rent and shared ownership schemes to meet a range of housing needs across the area.
Community infrastructure continues to progress across the site, with proposals for a community building, allotments and more currently progressing through the planning process. The handovers represent one of the final major residential milestones at Hounsome Fields, with the remaining works due to be completed over the coming months as the development approaches its conclusion.
