Vistry completes first handover of homes at Base, Newhall
Vistry, one of the UK’s leading providers of mixed-tenure homes, has completed the first handover of rental homes to one of the leaders in the operational real estate sector, at its Newhall development in Harlow.
The first eight homes have now been handed over marking the start of the delivery of 105 rental homes across phases 3A and 3B. A total of 60 rental homes will be delivered from phase 3A, with a further 45 homes from phase 3B.
The handover forms part of Vistry’s wider delivery of 269 homes across the two phases, comprising 134 homes in phase 3A and 135 homes in phase 3B.
The 105 homes will provide high-quality, professionally managed rental accommodation, broadening housing choice within Newhall and helping to meet growing demand for high-quality rented homes in Harlow. Delivered through Vistry's partnership, the homes add to the range of tenures available across the development and support the creation of a balanced and inclusive community.
Construction continues across the wider development, with phase 3A scheduled for completion in August 2027 and phase 3B expected to complete in October 2028.
The homes form part of the wider Newhall Masterplan, which will deliver a total of 2,135 homes and create a sustainable new neighbourhood for Harlow. Alongside new housing, significant investment is being made in social and community infrastructure, including two on-site community hubs featuring a coffee shop, supermarket and beauty salon, as well as a primary school and nursery. The hubs and additional recreational facilities are currently under construction, while future phases will deliver extensive green spaces, sports pitches and a children’s playground, helping to create a distinctive and liveable place where residents can live, work and thrive.
