Vistry hands over final 35 affordable homes at Limewood Grange in Eastleigh
Vistry, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, has completed the final phase of its Limewood Grange development on Allington Lane in Eastleigh, Hampshire, by handing over 35 affordable homes to housing provider Abri.
In the third and final phase of the development, known as Primrose Gardens, which began construction in spring 2024, Vistry has delivered 29 houses and six apartments, all of which have been forward sold to Abri. The homes will be available through a mix of social rent and shared ownership, supporting local people to access high-quality, energy-efficient homes. Abri is using funding from its Strategic Partnership with Homes England, the government's housing and regeneration agency, alongside its own investment to make all the homes affordable.
This phase offers a range of one and two bed apartments and two, three and four bed houses, completing the transformation of Limewood Grange into a vibrant, mixed-tenure neighbourhood and delivering much needed affordable housing for the local community.
Limewood Grange has been built by Vistry across three phases through successful partnerships with leading housing associations, with 142 new homes delivered in total. Phase 1 completed in December 2020, providing 72 homes, including 25 affordable homes in partnership with Sovereign. Phase 2 followed in 2022, delivering 35 homes, with 12 affordable homes delivered with Vivid.
Trevor Wicks, Managing Director for Vistry Southern, said: "We’re thrilled to mark the completion of Limewood Grange and hand over the final homes to Abri. This milestone reflects the strength of our long standing partnership and our shared commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable homes for local communities. The development’s successful completion is the result of close collaboration and a focus on creating a vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood for residents to enjoy."
Bethany Palmer, Senior Development Officer at Abri said: “These new homes at Primrose Gardens will make a meaningful difference for local people, providing warm, safe and affordable places to call home. Access to high quality, sustainable housing is the foundation for helping communities thrive, and offering a mix of social rent and shared ownership options helps to meet different needs. This development reflects the ambitions set out in Abri’s new corporate strategy 2026–2031 to deliver more affordable homes, invest in our communities, and create opportunities for people to live well.”
