Vistry secures planning approval for a further 90 sustainable new homes in Grantham, Lincolnshire

Vistry, the UK’s leading provider of mixed‑tenure homes, has secured planning approval from South Kesteven District Council for the second phase of its Kings Newton development, marking a major milestone in the delivery of this thriving new neighbourhood for residents.

The development has permission to deliver 300 homes in total, with 180 delivered by Vistry whilst the construction of Junction works to the A1/A52 are awaiting completion. In Phase 2, Vistry will deliver 83 sustainable mixed-tenure new homes, including 58 Additionality Affordable Homes. Construction is scheduled to begin in by the autumn, with the final homes expected to be delivered by 2029.

The approval follows the strong progress of Phase 1, which comprises 97 homes and is currently under construction. Work is currently underway, and is being delivered in partnership with Brick Lane, Sage and Leaf Living. First completions have already occurred and a thriving community is beginning to grow.

The new homes will range from two to five bedrooms and incorporate a range of sustainable features, including solar panels and electric vehicle charging points as standard. The new neighbourhood is exceptionally well connected, being located minutes from the A1, with excellent rail links, top-rated schools and easy access to both the countryside and city.

Alex Stark, Managing Director for Vistry East Anglia, said: “Securing approval for the next phase at Kings Newton marks a significant milestone in our commitment to creating sustainable and well-connected new communities. With Phase 1 progressing well, we are well placed to deliver this next phase of Kings Newton, delivering the mix of high-quality housing that local residents really need.
